From the country that brought you Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Jean Dujardin, introducing Les Infidèles (The Players), a film about men cheating on their wives that rolls the two men into one fictional character. The movie is string a of short films of varying lengths and degrees of bad taste. Directed by different filmmakers, they all have one thing in common: they feature three categories of women: stupid sluts, angry wives (with good reason) and uptight prudes. No new insight is brought to the subject, which is treated with boorish humor or in clichéd situations. This may knock Dujardin off the pedestal he has been occupying since The Artist won him so many awards. He contributed to the writing and directing of parts of Les Infidèles, and Michel Hazanavicius, director of The Artist, directed one of the episodes.
