IHT PHOTO ARCHIVE AUCTION
Drouot: The International Herald Tribune, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, will auction off 300 photos from its archive at Drouot on Nov. 19. An exhibition of 125 of them is on show at Frances Amériques (9, av. Franklin Roosevelt, 75008 Paris) through Nov. 12. Just about everyone who made history during the period is represented, from Hitler and Churchill to Sylvia Beach and Samuel Beckett.
’EVERYTHING’ COMES TO PARIS
The Museum of Everything: Chalet Society’s excellent “wandering” exhibition of the work of self-taught artists, among them Henry Darger, Guo Fengyi, ACM and Willem van Genk, is currently on show in a former Catholic seminary in Saint Germain des Prés. DELACROIX & AN ENGLISH GARDEN
Domaine de Chantilly: The Domaine de Chantilly has not only recently restored its early-19th-century English garden, but is also holding a well-received exhibition called “Delacroix et l’Aube de Orientalisme” (through Jan. 7). Shuttle buses available from Paris on weekends and holidays for the duration of the show.
