INSURANCE FOR LIBERTARIANS
Perhaps the Paris Métro should revise its payment system: passengers are trusted to buy a ticket, and those who don’t are only occasionally caught and made to pay a fine. Charles Bremner reports in the Times Online that small groups of young Parisian libertarians and radical leftists who refuse to pay Métro fares on principle are pooling their money into insurance funds to pay each other’s fines when they are caught. Are the big insurance companies missing out on an opportunity?
