The exhibition “Wim Delvoye at the Louvre” draws visitors into the little-visited apartments of Napoleon III, where Delvoye’s ironic works—e.g., beautiful sculptures of polished, silver-plated bronze that would be just pastiches of classical sculpture and architecture if they weren’t twisted into new shapes, or his tattooed pigs or sculpted tires—are distributed among the ornate imperial furnishings.
